| Introduction | I am an academic researcher and an Associate Professor in the School of Information at University of Texas at Austin. I believe in science and scientific evidence as a basis for rational human decision making at all levels of society. I am post-positivist and a critical realist and believe that there is a reality independent of us and an objective truth.
