| Introduction | Ever get to the point where you just can't take the humdrum of everyday life? 30 years ago this was the case, Paul headed off to England to work and travel and Nic headed off to Africa because he saw an ad in a shop window. The oldies said "good on you, off you go, get it out of your system, then you can settle down and become a responsible member of society". For the next few years the two remained overseas working a little and travelling a lot! The idea of travelling by motorbike was bandied about quite a bit after reading Ted Simon's Jupiters Travels, but in the end home they came to become responsible members of society. Girlfriends, wives, kids and jobs came and went, interspersed of course with a lot of escapist travel and dreams of that elusive bike trip. Finally that dreamed of motorbike journey is on.... a couple of mates off on an adventure ..... |
