Introduction	I moved from the city to a farm at 50 with two dogs, two horses, a cat and a husband. We are currently responsible for 60+ sheep, 13 chickens, 2 geese, 2 turkeys, a peacock, an additional horse, a Sicilian miniature donkey, and a cat brought in to control the mouse and chipmunk (and dare I say, rat) populations. I think we may have lost our minds - our kids certainly think so. A sportscar would have made more sense for a midlife crisis. But no, we bought the farm in more ways than one. It's "Green Acres" Oregon style and I never even saw the show!
