| Introduction | I am a working mother of two children (wonderful, beautiful children), the wife of one very fabulous man, and partner/owner in two companies. I work daily on some aspect of both companies. I am a frustrated writer, a fledgling Buddhist, and a loyal friend. I grew up in the DC suburbs, and now live in NC at the beach. We have a really great life here with our Corgi, Piper, and our two fat cats, Oliver and Duke. I like to write about my kids, my work, politics and sometimes religion. I like the topics are you are supposed to avoid. They are more interesting. I work out every day in an effort to stay healthy, and remain a non-smoker. My husband is a full time stay at home Dad and has been running our home and our lives with grace for about 8 years. I would be wandering in the woods eating bugs if not for him. I still listen to punk rock music, and remember albums fondly. I want to make a difference in the world and inspire my kids to develop strong beating liberal hearts, keen thinking progressive minds, and a really sharp sense of humor. If I offend anyone with my ideas, you may find that you are in good company. I respect everyone's right to their opinion, even my own. |

How is an ankle unlike a consequence?
One will bend and sometimes break. One is unbending and breaks that which attempts to break it. Ankles look better in heels.
