Introduction	In 2006 I retired after 37 years as a Lutheran pastor. Retirement has provided me with time to pursue my interests, so I have written, studied family history, become thoroughly addicted to genealogical research, played pickleball, and traveled. On Father's Day 2008 our sons gave me a day at Emerald Downs--Seattle's horse racing track--and a blog. They consider me worldly enough to gamble and wordy enough to write. I won $24 on my second bet, and now I'm gambling on having something to say via my keyboard. I wrote and spoke my way through 37 years of pastoral work, but this is a new experience--to write about my interests. I'm beginning with a travelogue of our Sweden/Norway Genealogical Journey (May 7-21, 2008), and I know I'll include some previously written "prose-try", some verse that resembles poetry. I hope it is worthy of your reading.
