| Introduction | Raised & educated in the UK, moved to Canada in '68, after a couple of 'learning' years in Brussels. Background in advertising agency and packaged goods product management with 20 years employment as an international sales manager in the Canadian consumer food manufacturing industry. Pushing 74 years, happily married with three children, one son, two daughters and a beautiful grandson. |
| Interests | Photography----specifically black & white street photography--- shoot with a Nikon D610 and a Lumix GX85. France, the French language, current affairs, live theatre, 'coarse' travel. BBC radio. Good conversation. Regular exercise...aim (hopefully) for at least 5 miles/day fast walk. Voracious & ecelectic reader. Discovered a passion for photography in 2010. So much more challenging to make a picture as opposed to take a picture. |
| Favorite music | Lots of the 60/70's. Tend towards the slow and gentle beat. Aznavour, Piaf, Presley, Beatles, occasionally rousing orchestrals. |
| Favorite books | Currently enjoying the police investigation series by Linda La Plante...'Prime Suspect'. Recently completed "Your World is Going to get Smaller---an end to Globalization". Jeff Rubin.(aka: we are running out of oil!). So many books to read, so little time!! Great admirer of Paul Theroux. His "Kingdom by the Sea" (1984) provided original inspiration for me to make my 2000 km. coastal walk England and Wales, Spring 2010. Les Miserables--(Penguin Classics edition for the modern translation). |
