Introduction'When you want something in life, you just gotta reach out and grab it.'

-In case you were wondering, immediate family & close family friends call me 'Tina'. (Or 'Tinar', but that's just a sister-thing. You know who you are!)

-Poor thing, I have no middle name.

- When I was a nanny (Hey, stop laughing!) or should I be snobby & say, "When I was an au pair in the South of France"?, I refused to let the children watch Walt Disney movies, except Fantasia. Personally, I think Walt had some serious issues, which he will hopefully work on once he's cryogenically unfrozen.

InterestsSaving the world, 'THE' Opera (not to be confused w/'Oprah'), and small crying children WITH runny noses., All at the same time., (ALRIGHT YOU GOT ME - NOT REALLY.) Let's start over:, Tennis, ok -- you got me again: Shopping -- which-I know-is SO shallow. Sue me., vinyasa yoga, interior design (Danish Modern), art, furry creatures, tennis skirts, the beach, I'm not sure why but I love sand except for times when I'm sunburned & it creeps inside my swimsuit., I love being in/near water especially the ocean though i would NOT love being eaten by a shark., You probably do not want to see me on a snowboard or river rafting, Can't decide if I'd rather be too hot or too cold., Appreciator of the aesthetic value of automobiles -- love the Citroen DS & 80's era Jeep Grand Wagoneers (Woodys)., 'Nuff said.
Favorite moviesHmmm. Just to name a few:, Lost in Translation, Closer, The English Patient, An Affair of Love, Deliverance, Chinatown, True Romance (love the last scene!), The Deer Hunter, Into the Wild, The Big Easy, L.A. Confidential, Fargo, Silence of the Lambs, American Beauty, And yes - I will admit it: Bridget Jones, There I said it., But ONLY the last 15 minutes of the movie & Colin Firth's character., (That just does NOT happen in real life.),While I -in theory- love a *good* horror film I find it completely impossible (and I mean completely) to sit still to watch them which drives the people I'm watching w/ insane. (This same phenomena occurs while watching sporting events.) So maybe I should say I love the IDEA of a good horror movie,(And by the way-- 'Hmmm' is not a movie -- I was just thinking out typing.), I just have to ask this: Do you think anyone lists 'Top Gun' as their favorite movie? Just curious.
Favorite musicVery fickle my musical taste as it's generally tied to my mood., Kind of feeling Aimee Mann, Portishead, The Kills, & Mazzy Star'ish @ the moment, When I'm feeling groovy? Do the Hussle! (Long live the 70's., A shout out to most of the 80's.), Feeling dark? nothing like 'Hurt' by Johnny Cash.,Classic Rock, Jazz (Ella!), Cuban, Can I just say that I love the Boogie Nights soundtrack?, Bonus points for music that's fun to dance to., (Double bonus if it's fun to dance to WHILE playing tennis., Right Janie S. & Sue T.? You know what I'm talking about. Nothing like Ted S. playing a little Pussycat Dolls remix. Meow! Shake that groove thing hot mamas!)
Favorite booksI'm sorry but do people still read books?, I'm kidding! Really I'm kidding. (Yes I can read - thank you very much. No need to get snotty.) For Pete's sake I have a Kindle DX which even reads FOR you but its voice is sort of weird. Jeez how lazy can you get people?, In fact one of my few retained childhood educational lessons was 'RIF': Reading Is Fundamental. Weren't you taught that in school too?,Oh, right - back to fav books., Too many to list., Fav authors include, Jens Grondahl, Jon Krakauer, Augusten Burroughs, Bill Bryson, Bryson makes me laugh so hard (and loud). Be careful reading him on planes. Seriously you have been warned.

Paper or briefs?

Depends. (Ha-ha, get it?) You know, like boxers or briefs.Depends 'undergarments'? Ok, you get it. I didn't need to spell it out for you, I'm sorry.(You have to admit, that was funny. Right?)
