| Introduction | I am a California native who has always had a deep love and respect for animals. In 1992 I began volunteering for various animal welfare groups where I developed a reputation as someone who would work with any breed of dog and with any problem. In 2004 I started teaching dog obedience as a way to bring in some additional income but quickly became overwhelmed with requests for behavioral assistance for issues ranging from aggression to fear to excitement. At the same time I had the good fortune of working as the Volunteer Coordinator and Event Coordinator for a local humane society that had developed a working relationship with Cesar Millan, the famed Dog Whisperer. My time spent at the humane society changed my views of dogs forever and I was eager to share what I had learned with others. Attaboy was born shortly thereafter and my love of teaching continues. I currently live in the Tampa, Florida area. Our “pack” includes my husband, our two young children, two rescue “pit bull” mixes and one very old rescue cat. |
