Introduction	I grew up in Upstate New York, studied a little in Spain, traveled through most of Europe, spent a good deal of time in California, and am currently raising my family in the Midwest while teaching part-time.

Favorite movies	I have some eclectic tastes, including: Dead Poet's Society, American Beauty, Good Will Hunting, Fargo, Frailty, Mr. Holland's Opus, Saving Private Ryan, Shawshank Redemption, Traffic, Wonder Boys, Silence of the Lambs, A Perfect Murder, The Brave One, Bourne Identity, Sliding Doors, etc.
Favorite music	More eclectic tastes. Some of my favorite music comes from: Pearl Jam, Collective Soul, Blink 182, Limp Biscuit, Third Eye Blind, Shakira, The Cranberries, The Indigo Girls, Ani Difranco, Sarah McLachlan, U2, Garth Brooks, The Dixie Chicks, and of course, the 80s etc.
Favorite books	It's hard to pick! I like a lot of different genres: Contemporary Fiction, Poetry, Psychological Thrillers, Memoirs, Oprah's Book Club picks, etc. I also like reading texts related to Education, Language, Teaching & Learning, and Philosophy.
