Introduction	I'm Sajeeda,born and raised in Mauritius.My passion for cooking started when I was still a little girl, following my grandma in our outdoor kitchen where she would set the wood burning stove ready to make the famous biryani.I was quite disappointed when in High School I was unable to take cookery since my parents could not afford the expensive ingredients required. However, I still remember my excitement to meet with my "luckier" friends and would question them on what they had made, eyes gleaming on hearing amazing dishes like the sheppard pie and religiously taking down the recipes even though I knew my mum would not allow me to spend money on expensive ingredients to make a "charlotte à la fraise" at home ! And rightfully so....Even though we were a middle class family, food has always been the centre. Simple, basic dishes,that would warm our hearts and souls. Today I feel extremely fortunate to be able to turn my passion into my hobby. With the continuous support of my husband who allows me to be as creative as I want to be in the kitchen. And why wouldn't he ? He gets to taste it all !!!
Interests	Cooking, Reading, learning about different cultures around the world, gardening.
Favorite Music	Everything that's pleasing to the ears, from Bollywood to Andrea Bocelli, Beyonce to Madonna ! I do not have a particular style of music which I prefer. I just think that music is universal...
