| Introduction | Multilingual ( English, Dutch, French, German) Board Certified Cardiologist and Intensivist since 1993, with Board certification in Adult Cardiovascular Diseases, Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Adult Echocardiography ( all currently active) . Medical degree obtained in 1987 at the University of Antwerp, Antwerp Belgium. Completed training in Internal Medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC. Received the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Membership. In 1992, while at the Division of Critical Care Medicine at Saint Vincent's Hospital, New York, NYC, received the Doctor William R Grace Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine for Clinical Excellence. Authored several publications pertaining to both Critical care and Cardiovascular diseases. Former Medical Director of the Coronary Care Unit at UNC Health Care in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. |
