| Introduction | Jessica-LaShawn's Bio She was born January 3rd, 1981 within the state of Illinois. Her life started out as a struggle as she fought to survive as a premature baby. This would only open the floodgates for the things she’d have to endure throughout her life. After beating the odds, she survived, and in turn, began her path to revolutionizing everything she confronted.Jessica's life as a child was good but always confusing dealing with 4 parents instead of two.The pressure of attending a prestigious school got to her as she found herself competing instead of being educated.College at Alcorn State University allowed Jessica to realize the trials of being tested by peer pressure. “ I’ve never been one to sit in my room afraid to go mingle. The first day at Alcorn, I was already active I tried to conquer Alcorn’s campus. My college experience showed me how strong I was as an independent woman (somewhat) and how focused my mind could be. I found 'myself' somewhere in between those country woods and roads paved with sentimental moments in history. I had to keep a good image if I wanted to be the first black president’s wife.” In the end I'm a journalist! |
| Interests | I am not a vessel filled with hope but I am a human immersed with a desire for change. My philosophy on life states that “Jess,” as I am I will make a Change! I no longer believe in dreams because they leave room for doubt. I now base my aspirations on future achievements because it ensures success. I have never been one to be afraid to communicate, express myself, and or doubt my feelings. I am willing to be bold and revolutionary in an elegant and graceful way that exemplifies the essence of womanhood. |
