Introduction	I'm a former journalist trying to raise my family and stay sane in a brutal economy. I eat, sleep and breathe news and politics, but feel both have let us down. In my small way I'm trying to change that. Call me liberal, call me progressive, but don't call me Democrat -- they lost that right after two years of corporate weeniehood. Politics will be my main focus, but my other interests -- including history, psychology, neuroscience, reading, cooking, innovation -- will also come into play. Like a liberal Andrew Sullivan, with no beard or barebacking.
