Introduction	I’ve published about 160 books (mostly for children) and argued with a large number of publishers over the years. Most of them are amenable to a bit of stropping, and apart from the one who was sent to jail (and he wasn’t a real publisher anyway) I have worked for them all again. I am also an RLF (Royal Literary Fund) Fellow and Lector.
