Introduction	I was born and raised in Stockton, CA and now live in Kansas with my family. When I was 18 years old, I joined the Navy. I spent a year in Great Lakes, IL for training and then eventually moved to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia where I was stationed until 2006. I spent three years on the USS Saipan (LHA-2). In 2003, my ship was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom to the Persian Gulf. What's ironic about my time in the military is that I have always considered myself a pretty hard core liberal. My time in the military gave me a respect for what our troops do and I support them 100% even though I may not always support the cause! I'm pretty outspoken on what I believe even though it may upset some people. However, if what I believe upsets them, then they need to realize that what they believe may upset me. I probably won't ever change these people's minds but that doesn't mean I won't try. I know from personal experience that political, religious, social, etc. views can change through the years. I know my views have shifted somewhat but I'm still a pretty hardcore liberal and proud of it. I welcome any feedback and a good debate is always welcome.
