Introduction Mr. Porter understands that an immigration lawyer must be able to act as a partner with HR Managers to ensure that the business and its foreign born workers are compliant with the immigration rules and regulations. In that capacity, Mr. Porter has worked to secure temporary visas for workers (H-1B), employment-based permanent resident status (PERM), O-1 visas for aliens with extraordinary abilities, H-1B visa transfers and renewals, I-9 compliance issues, and ICE investigations. Mr. Porter also works with individuals and their families to secure family-based green cards for spouses and immediate relatives of U.S. citizens, visitor (B-1) visas, K-1/K-3 fiancé visas, and naturalization (citizenship). Finally, Mr. Porter utilizes his tax background to properly advise foreign nationals on taxation issues.
