| Introduction | I was raised by Ward and June Cleaver. Dad worked, Mom ran the home and kept the 4 kids in line. A very happy childhood. Mom and Dad are still in love today, and are a great inspiration. I always knew that I would be and Architect, and started training to do so when I was 15. I spent 16 years working for 2 different firms and loved it. Quite frankly, I was good at it. When I met my wife we discussed the importance of stay-at-home parenting early on. And after accepting that my income would never be as good as hers..... I was it... "Oh, well, I see". Time to step up. In 2012 the twins were born and I quit my job, outright, and have had the best experience of my life. This site is a journal of the methods I've used to transition from Architecture to being a dad to twins, on one income, without losing my mind. |
