Introduction In 1965 the news media had lots to write about: the death of Sir Winston Churchill, the hoisting of the new Canadian flag, and the appearance of The Beatles at Shea Stadium, NY. No mention was made of my high school graduation that year, but my parents were pretty proud of the event. Since then I have been an elementary school teacher, a pastor, an editor, and a writer. I am married and live in Barrie, Ontario, with my wife, Shirley. We have three adult children. I began my writing career in elementary school when the teacher gave us a poety-writing assignment. I wrote poems for my classmates which I sold to them at five cents each for the assignment. Today I hope my writing will be more lucrative and less shady.
