| Introduction | I have been married for 40 years, have three grown children, with four grandchildren. I have been a school counselor for 9 years, having been an elementary school teacher for 12 years. My passions are contributing to healthy families. The one thing that may be unique to me is that when I was 20, I came in contact with God, through his son, Jesus. I wasn't looking for this, but was pursued by God in a very real way and could not say no to his offer of freedom. I really didn't know what I was getting into because I didn't know a single follower of Jesus. It proved to be THE best decision I have ever made. It has affected ALL areas of my life for the good in ways that I could not have mustered if I lived a thousand years. The older I get, the more I know this to be true. Living each day with the desire that He gave me to get to know Him has been a great adventure but also a mystery. This blog shares how a frail child who practically raised herself is walking out her faith and learning to love through the daily middle age moments she has. |
| Interests | I love the outdoors, used to move around more before the knees started hurting, enjoy gardening, and enjoy crafty things such as sewing, decorating, baking and photography. I also love to reflect and share my thoughts through the written and spoken word. I'm also a wannabe quilter and novelist. |
