Introduction	Hi! My name is Katharine Stewart and I will be your child’s 2nd grade teacher this year. I love children and am in my 6th year of teaching! The 2011-2012 school year will be my third year of teaching here at Poupard Elementary; my first year at Poupard was back in 2006-2007 when I taught 1st grade! After my first year at Poupard I got married and moved to Lexington, Kentucky with my husband. While in Kentucky, I taught fourth grade for 3 years. When I moved back to Michigan in 2010 I immediately knew I wanted to be back at Poupard- I love this school! My degrees are in Elementary Education and History. I also have a masters degree in Reading & Writing and am endorsed as a Reading Specialist for grades K-12. My husband Andy is a mechanical engineer at Toyota Motor Co. in Ann Arbor. We have been married for 4 years and have one little puppy dog named Oliver. In our spare time we LOVE to read, blog, scrapbook, cook, craft and travel. I know you will learn much more about me throughout the school year and I am looking forward to learning about you as well!
