| Introduction | I don't know about me, haven't grown up yet. I decided, when I was in my 20s, that I would not lie on my death bed one day (hopefully in the far future) regretting all the things I never did. So, I'm investigating all fiber-related things with even a wiggle of interest attached to them. In addition, I have always dreamt of having a garden with raised beds and stone, a place of paths leading to more beautifully planted beds, all embraced by walls of shrubbery and trees. Somehow, it is all coming true, and I could not be happier than working here with hubby Charles or watering and weeding with my grandchildren, The Adorables. |
| Interests | Embroidery, felting, painting fabrics, small quilting, mixed media fiber pieces, odd and unusual book making, music-making and listening, studio journaling, pastel drawing and painting, watercolor painting, reading and writing, cooking, gardening, photography . . . |
| Favorite music | Bach (especially the Goldberg Variations), Debussy, Ravel, contemporary choral lit, 30s and 40s jazz, Schubert's delectible "Great C Major" Symphony, Mozart's #40 (and almost any Mozart), Shostakovich's Orchestral music and piano small compositions, Rimsky-Korsakov (the "Scheherazade" suite is pure honey), Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an exhibition", Copland at his most angular . . . |
| Favorite books | Harry Potter, Agatha Christy, Brother Cadfael series, my (large) collection of history and contemporary literature and poetry, my almost-as-large collection of fiber art books (the old ones with the hard-to-find stitch diagrams are the greatest, but the color photos of contemporary work are so inspiring!), |
