| Introduction | Hello. My name is Linda Ly, and it is my first year here at San Bernardino Valley College. Despite the fact of being fairly new to the campus and just about everything, I have the most difficulty dealing with my bashfulness. Believe it or not, my timidity has made things challenging for me. For instance, having to socially interact with others that I am not acquainted with is hard. The reason why is because I fear that I will say or do something that I find humiliating. Another reason is that I don’t seem to have the courage to engage in activities like starting a conversation or joining a club. As a result, it takes longer for me to make friends as well as to reveal my true colors. Although it may seem that there are a lot of disadvantages with my shyness, there are actually advantages too. Of course I won't be unveiling that to any of you. |
