Introduction	After 30+ years teaching high school English, American Studies, Film Studies and Debate, I retired to write a book (which I had published in 2010) and then ended up running a history museum. Now I spend my time writing and ignoring my wife's "Honey Do" lists. But all that is what I do and did. Who I am is defined by my wife, our three great children, nine incredible grandchildren, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and a community of wonderful friends. I now have a one-man show portraying a Civil War naval officer who tells of his experiences.
Interests	Reading, naval history, classic cinema, grandkids, a good Bordeaux wine, table-top wargaming, and crossword puzzles. Along with my friend Alan Wenzel, we host the "Classic Film Series" at Freeport's Lindo Theatre and the annual Spencer Tracy Film Festival, also the Lindo.
Favorite movies	Casablanca (honest); Master and Commander (saw it in the thearers over fourteen times); Doctor Zhivago; Best in Show; Run Silent, Run Deep; It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World; Monty Python and the Holy Grail; and Serenity.
Favorite music	Most everything from the Big Band Era, Sinatra, Jimmy Buffet, Nat King Cole, etc.
Favorite books	To Serve Them All My Days; The Once and Future King; Run Silent, Run Deep; Hunt for Red October; the Hornblower series; the O'Brien novels of Jack Aubrey; and the list goes on and on.
