| Introduction | I am an Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at Marymount Manhattan College, a small liberal arts school in New York City. My specialization is in philosophy of religion, and I have a wide range of interests that include comparative philosophy of religion (especially the exchange between German and Indian thought-forms); theory and method in the study of religion; religion, philosophy, and film; and the nature and problem of evil. Publications include: _Deliver Us from Evil_ (Continuum, 2009; co-edited with David Eckel), _A Beginner's Guide to the Study of Religion_ (Continuum, 2007), and _The German Gita: Hermeneutics and Discipline in the German Reception of Indian Thought, 1778-1831_ (Routledge, 2006). I live with my beautiful wife in spectacular Astoria, Queens. |
