| Introduction | The First Vienna Circle was a group of mathematicians, scientists and philosophers who hung out in Vienna coffeehouses in the early 1900’s and shared a common idea - that personal experience was the only way to know anything (also known as empiricism). In the spirit of acknowledging the value of experience in science and everyday life, this blog is dedicated to all those who have put themselves out to furthered their scientific knowledge through personal experience, and to those who demonstrate that science facts are useful and that sometimes its good to just know something without having to experience it for yourself. |
