| Introduction | An avid lover of nature, I studied many areas of flora and fauna, particularly trees and plants(flowers)....Dendrology and Botany. As a child I spent many hours hiking in the hills of our ranch and the forests of the area, along with exploring the meadows, rivers, creeks and lakes of the area. I have been drawing and painting since childhood and minored in art in college.I have taken classes and workshops through the years. Recently I have taken Online classes from Cathy Johnson. Since retirement I have dedicated myself to painting and drawing...mostly in my favorite mediums, watercolor and pen & ink. Some of my work has been featured in books and brochures and also used as Mixed Media examples in school classrooms. I have recently begun selling my paintings, after years of gifting my art to family and friends. Currently I am selling some of my work on Ebay, ...(periodically). | Favorite Books | Art....Any books by Cathy Johnson, Trudy Friend, Ann Blockley, Wendy Jelbert, Nita Leland, Carl Purcell, Karlyn Holman, Danny Gregory, Hannah Hinchman, Clare Walker Leslie, Lucy Watson, Edith Holden, and many, many more..I probably have about 300+++ art books, mostly watercolor. I love Journaling books and have many. I love Poetry...all...:) I am and have always been an avid reader...there are just too many beloved books...I cannot even start the list...:) |
