| Introduction | Sometimes you go along in life doing a bunch of things and then all of a sudden you realize that they all added up to something! That something is the core of resilience, a strengthening of spirit that enables humans to recover from crisis. From Home Street Home, my 1984 collaboration on homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction and it's connection to child abuse, pesticide poisoning, health care crisis of 47 million Americans turned away and currently working on peace and ocean changes due to climate change. In each of these, the central experience is one of Arts Connecting Communities - and helping people of all ages survive and thrive. |
