Introduction | I blog about victimisation, cruelty, abuse, justice, human rights, ethics, racism, discrimination, prejudice and group psychology, to name but a few!!! I am interested also in religion and spirituality and the psychology of belief. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My purpose in writing this blog is to air my views, of course, but I really want to try to tease out the rights and wrongs in our lives, the bottom-line moral position..I would like to inform folks where I can and initiate debate and maybe just change people`s minds a little for the good. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am an artist these days, having been a musician in an old life. I like getting out and about to concerts and lectures, not to mention shopping! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I write articles upon subjects in my blog... and many more! In future blogs I will be talking about M.E./ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and the gut, along with gut ecology in relation to A.D.H.D., depression and allergies.... and, yes, bad gut flora can cause serious depression ! If this is of interest, please check in later !!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Interests | I am interested in a wide range of subjects from ethics to the environment. Pretty into architecture, music, philosophy, astronomy, geology/science, complimentary medicine and psychology, art, the natural world, history, genealogy....and anything interesting! |
Favorite Music | Baroque....17th c and 18th, mostly. I do have some contemporary likes as well!Love Gorecki`s 3rd symphony !!! My favourites would include: Vivaldi, Dresden sonatas, Handel, harpsichord suites and Eccles` Judgment of Paris. I love baroque opera from early Italian through to Handel and onwards. Having studied performance practice at Music College, I am pretty particular about authentic performance, though I have heard stylistically great performances on modern instruments! Top bands include, the O.A.E. and the English Concert. |
Favorite Books | "Headlong" Michael Frayn, "English Music" and "Chatterton" Peter Ackroyd, "The girl in a Swing" by Richard Adams."The Stolen Child" Keith Donohue.Best authors include: Iris Murdoch & A.S. Byatt. |
