About me

Introduction	The first love of my life, my Dad, Paul Finch, died of a glioblastoma brain tumour in May 2011. I am a 33 year old stay at home Mom to 3 beautiful boys - Tyler (5), Ryan (3), and Joshua (21 months). My boys miss their Grandpa who loved them deeply and was such a huge part of their lives. My wonderful husband Damien is doing this race with me! He has completed 2 Ironmans in Australia and will be my training partner and coach!! My Dad was always my biggest supporter and encouraged me to do anything I set my mind to. His optimism, energy, and amazingly contagious laugh inspired everyone around him. Before he passed away I told him that I want to race in an Ironman to raise money for a cure. In his true optimistic spirit he said "I want to race it with you!". On August 19th 2012 I know my Dad will be racing with me.
