| Introduction | I began ballet at age 12 with Zamuel Ballet in Colorado. During my time there, I found my passion for ballet (with the help of my wonderful teachers German and Valentina), and immediately found what I wanted to do for the rest of my life! I am still extremely in love with my art, and thankful everyday for the opportunities and experiences I live!In 2010-11 I attended the Kirov Academy of Ballet in DC. There, I learned SO much; the training I received (from my amazing teachers, and especially Mme. Mariana Lobanova),and the Kirov life are something I will be forever grateful for! Now, I am beginning a new chapter and adventure in my life... abroad! In the summer of 2011, I trained on scholarship with the Bolshoi Ballet Academy (my 3rd year with the program), in Moscow, Russia! After a visit home to CO, I returned to Russia to continue my studies here. Currently, I am studying at the world renowned Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg for my second year. My dream is now my reality! Everyday I am grateful to all of you who support me, and especially those who have helped me along the way and my wonderful family! xoxo, Tatum |
