| Introduction | Since completing an agriculture literacy chef internship at Michael Fields Agricultural Institute in East Troy, WI in 2003 I have been interested in growing and preserving my own food. For four seasons I have been a worker share at a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm where I have learned a lot about planting, growing, and harvesting. I attribute my early gardening skills (flower identification, planting) to my dad, but otherwise I've learned a lot by dreaming, trying, and erring. |
