Introduction	who knows what to say in these things? clearly not me. feel free to draw your own conclusions.
Favorite movies	american beauty (alan ball's a genius), angels in america, garden state, napoleon dynamite, the opposite of sex, grey gardens! (s-t-a-u-n-c-h, darling), eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, brokeback mountain, love actually, amelie, dancer in the dark (bjork is amazing - quite possibly the saddest movie ever, though), chicago, also i'm a sucker for movies from back when i was a kid, like the disney ones, and campy ridiculous musicals, etc.
Favorite music	i love all kinds of music, except country. especially into deep house right now. really feeling some of the indie labels from out there - naked music (lisa shaw, aya, gaelle, blue six, aquanote), om (kaskade, jboogie, soulstice, mark farina, colette), uno (andy caldwell, mei-lwun), loveslap (jay-j, latrice barnett), the amazing gina rene and gabriel rene. my favorite artist of all time is esthero! i'm on a mission to let everyone know about her. i've loved all of her stuff from the beginning. everything she touches is flawless. even if she's like the backup singer on some track, it is just automatically great. seriously. otherwise, i love tori amos, and always will. erykah badu - another artist who everything she does is brilliant. bjork - again, from the very beginning with the sugarcubes! of course madonna! there are some seriously fantastic new soul artists out there that i'm loving - strange fruit project, goapele, zion-i, dwele, leela james, john legend, kanye west are some of my new faves, as well as those that have been out there a minute like jill scott, common, the roots, amel larrieux..on and on. some of my favorite artists besides those above are roisin murphy, moloko, mylo, ernesto, darren hayes, george michael, ani difranco, imogen heap, frou frou, the new label buzzinfly and its artists, de-phazz, ebtg, etro anime, scissor sisters, fiona apple, rufus wainwright, john mayer, etc.
Favorite books	i really don't read as much as i'd like, but some of the ones i've really enjoyed sorta-recently are: dry, devil wears prada, memoirs of a geisha, wicked, me talk pretty one day, and i'm trying to catch up on the harry potter books.
