| Introduction | I am a grateful daughter, sister, aunt, MOTHER and GRANDMOTHER!! My family means everything to me!! They are the source of my greatest joy and solace. I am wrapped in the arms of their love. I am loved and supported by many and consider it a great blessing to know that so strongly. |
| Interests | The arts...ballet, concerts, plays, fine art...anything that is wrapped in beautiful music. |
| Favorite movies | Mama Mia was wonderful - in spite of the fact that watching Pierce Brosnon singing was painful. He did an okay job - it was just so not easy or natural for him. Meryl exemplifies the "50 Somthing" Woman! Go Girl. The movie makes you feel younger and skinnier. What more could you ask for? Enjoy |
| Favorite music | My current favorite music is the soundtrack from the movie Atonement. It is mostly classical music with the integration of other sounds, like a manual typewriter. It really draws you in and stirs your emotions. That is what really good music is supposed to do. The cello throughout can bring you to tears. Fabulous! Just the thing if you are on the verge of a really good cry and just need to be pushed over the edge. |
| Favorite books | I have read several books about Afghanistan. The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns were the first two. They were good, but so full of sorrow and heartache. Women have no say...no choice...no meaning. Terrible. After the 4th book on the subject, I had to stop. It makes me more grateful than ever for my freedoms - but it breaks my heart that the majority of the world is without choices. |
