IntroductionI'll begin with a disclaimer: I am not a writer. I mean, I'm not a writer by profession nor am I a good writer. I write to help me remember, to stop the constant flood of memories, for therapy. I have spent most of my resourses on healing from childhood sexual abuse. I have been diagnosed with delayed-onset complex PTSD. It is a daily battle but I'm learning I am worth it. So, really, I write to get well. My mind has served me well for the most part of my life. It compartmentalized so much information to keep me sane. However, at one point, the rooms in my head were too numerous to hold. I've had to open doors to old memories and knock down boundaries that had cut me off from processing some of them. As I discover rooms, I will write about what I find...if I can. I hope to be of help to others who are on the same journey I am--from victim to survivor.
