Introduction | Ann Elizabeth Carson, Poet, writer, sculptor, feminist, was selected as one of Toronto’s Mille Femmes at the 2008 Luminato Festival which paid tribute to women who have made a contribution to the arts. Ann has published Shadows Light, a collection of poetry and sculptures, My Grandmother’s Hair, a tale about how our family stories make our memories and shape our lives and The Risks of Remembrance, new poems. She has recently completed We All Become Stories: Aging and the Changing Experiences of Memory. Ann is a former counsellor, supervisor and instructor at York University, and a recently retired pshychotherapist focusing on expressive therapies. A Toronto native, Ann continues to write, sculpt, read from her work at various venues and lead a variety of workshops in the arts. She enjoys music, theatre, gardening and the company of her family and friends. |
