| Introduction | Graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in fine arts in the late 90s. Upon graduation he moved into the carving community in Central Vermont. While working as a resident sculptor at the Vermont Marble Exhibit, he carved a 5000 pound block of Vermont Marble which can be seen in front of the Armory Art Center in Somerville MA. In 2000 Scott relocated to the Boston area where he continued exhibiting his work in many galleries and universities in the area/region. He is a member of The New England Sculptors Association and has been teaching stone sculpture for just over two decades! First at the Decordova Museum School, then in 2010 he founded Scott's Stone Carving Classes which now resides on the 2nd floor of the historic Depot Train Station diriectly on the Minute Man Bikepath in Bedford MA. His teaching approach is well regarded and he seeks to unlock his students fascination for the stone carving process." |
