| Introduction | I am a peacemaker, author, artist, women's ceremonial leader, facilitator of the nonviolence training program Creating a Culture of Peace and co-creator of the healing retreat, Waking the Spirit of the Peace Maker Within - a practice in remembering. In 2007 I became a civilian diplomat with the Fellowship of Reconciliation and traveled as part of a peace delegation to the Islamic Republic of Iran. When asked why I wanted to go to Iran, my answer is always the same...I went to meet my relatives. Part of my philosophy of life is that we are all members of the same human family and as such have responsibility to one another for the survival of our species. We have been indoctrinated with fear-based belief systems and taught separation and division. I believe that we stand today at a crucial crossroads of societal evolution. We each hold an important piece of this grand puzzle of life. In order to evolve into a higher state of consciousness and claim our seat in the sacred circle, we must face the wounds of life and heal that which is capable of being healed. We Are All Related |
