| Introduction | Born in 1956 to emigrant parents from Norway, I was raised on a cattle ranch near a remote logging community in north-central B.C. Following a debilitating car accident in 2005, six days before my marriage to Ron, I clung to a growing faith that promised good in all things. Since all I could do at the time was pick up a pen, I began writing my book. In this book of literary non-fiction essays and award-winning poems, I hope to inspire readers who have lost faith or who have no faith that works to commit to a healing journey of spiritual renewal. I emphasize, “When we choose only to exist in a state of acceptance, trust and gratitude, everything we can change, will change; We become harmonious with our destiny." Reaching Our Greater Destiny empowers its readers to create peace with our own history, to be peace and to honour all life beginning with our own. If this book is helpful in uplifting one human spirit beyond the realm of self and into a sphere of wholeness, I am thankful. Randi |
