| Introduction | I am a visiting research scholar in Columbia University, working with Prof. Mona Diab in the Center for Computational Learning Systems (CCLS). Meanwhile, I am an adjunct lecturer and Ph.D. ABD in Indiana University, Bloomington, pursuing a double major in (1) Natural Language processing (aka Computational Linguistics) and (2) Web Mining. My work is squarely focused on mining the Web for the extraction of social meaning and sentiment. I also work on morpho-syntactic tagging of Arabic. In Indiana University, I am advised by Prof. Sandra Kuebler from Computationl Linguistics and Prof. Susan Herring from the School of Library & Information Science. |
