| Introduction | I am a storyteller who loves bringing characters to life both on stage/film and paper. I invite you, the reader to take a journey into the life of Amelia Bedilia Fluchter: an adolescent girl contending with hormones and the sudden death of her father. I find great pleasure creating young protagonists as adolescents are still beautifully unfiltered yet thwarted by parental and educational rules. It is also during our teenage years that we bid our innocence adieu and make those inevitable mistakes that we will wonder about in our later years. Many of the characters in my novels are ethnic as I also enjoy watching cultures interact and re-creating this on the page. Whether one goes through life in a burka or baseball cap, deep down we homo-sapiens are not very different from each other. My novels reflect this opinion as well. AFTER THE RAIN is a novel that will shortly be available in book form for purchase. There are two other novels coming down the creative pike: The Butterfly Catcher and Tortillas with Ketchup. |
| Interests | I love to bake--probably because I love to eat! I get some of the best ideas for storylines when I'm baking. I'm also a voracious reader. Good fiction can provide a delicious escape from reality (i.e. traffic jams; mortage bills, dust bunnies...) |
| Favorite movies | Somewhere in Time; Julie and Julia; Mr. Brooks; Juno |
| Favorite music | I'm very eclectic. My tastes range from Mozart to AC DC. And despite its potential cheese factor, I love quite a number of 50's songs. |
| Favorite books | We Are All Welcome Here; Blue Diary; Is Anybody Out There? True to Form; The Wonder Spot |
