| Introduction | When I was little I loved to sit next to my dad and watch him draw. I always asked him to draw pictures for me. My favorite was watching him draw horses! I have always had a great love for horses! Dad is an amazing artist. He’s really the one that got me interested in art at an early age! The images I draw I call “My Treasured Blessings.” My drawings are pictures of my precious moments, my treasured blessings in life. Hence, came about my gingerbread drawings! Gingerbread, and our family gingerbread traditions are a very special part of my life! The one thing I miss when I draw gingerbread instead of bake it, is that you don’t get that delicious gingerbread smell coming out of the oven! Drawing gingerbread is still pretty yummy though, especially on a cold snowy day before the holidays when you have nowhere to go or nothing to do but light a fire in the fireplace and just sit in front of the kitchen window, watch it snow, drink hot cocoa, and draw gingerbread. You can almost smell it baking! |
