| Introduction | I first learned the quilting basics in a class at my local quilt store. Now after years of homemaking and little quilting activity, I decided I want to finish the UFO's (unfinished projects). But, I quickly realized I needed more instruction so I'm starting over using the Quilter's Academy series. And I love it! I am currently working through Quilter's Academy Volume 2, Sophmore status. I finished Vol 1 in May 2015. The piecing has been more objective than the quilting part. Quilting is a whole new subjective craft in itself! Now I know why many "quilters" piece the tops and then send them out to the "Long Armer". My yearning is to craft quilts from start to finish. From conception to presentation. Follow along with me as I learn this timeless craft, set in modern times. |
