| Introduction | I am a 42 year old widow with 4 kids under the age of 12. My husband Brian was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in Feb 2006 and given "A year, probably not two". He survived 5 1/2 years, and most of it with a high quality of life. This blog is me trying to work through the pain and uncertainty that fills my life at this point. I hope someday that I can look back at these early days and realize that not only have I survived, I have survived well. I hope that this blog will help others in the same situation. I miss my husband and the life we used to have. This blog will wind through the journey that was our lives together and the journey the kids and I have been thrown, unwillingly, into. I hope it creates understanding of where I am in life at this moment and help lead me to where I will belong. |
