IntroductionI am a wife, mother, daughter, and an early childhood school librarian. I am a lover of books. I love connecting non-readers with books to help them to discover a love of reading. My husband and I are active members of the Texas Library Association. I have served as the chair of the Texas 2x2 Reading List for two years, serving on the committee for four years. I was the 2012 recipient of the Siddie Joe Johnson Award (Children's Librarian of the Year for Texas) from the Children's Round Table of the Texas Library Association. I write book reviews in order to share my love of reading. I share them with my blog readers. I also provide reviews to authors, publishers, publicists, NetGalley.com and any others who may contact me asking for my opinion on their writing. All reviews are my personal opinion and are in no way influenced by anyone. I want my readers to know how I feel about a book, whether good or bad. It is only fair to the author as well as to the reader to provide an honest opinion, which is exactly what it is – my opinion. I believe you don't have to read everyday, just the days you eat! My favorite quote is from Thomas Jefferson, "I cannot live without books."
