Introduction	This site is a satellite of The Sacred Narghile (www.sacrednarghile.com) run by Alex (USA), Juan(Colombia), Diana (Colombia), Genevieve (France) and Kamal (external consultant, France and Middle East), and other collaborators around the world. From the beginning, we have been committed to fight junk science and obscurantism in hookah studies. We have been saying, again and again, that we want sound and independent scientific research where there would be no room for bias, politics, censorship, plagiarism, crusades and witch-hunts. We are now convinced, by experience, that a “scientific truth” (e.g., 1 Hookah Equals 200 or 40 Cigarettes) may be a lie repeated again and again a 1000 times (particularly with the help of the mass media). Controversy and debate are essential for the progress of science.
