| Introduction | I am a retired middle/high school English teacher and librarian of 30 years with Virginia Beach City Public Schools. I am married with one son and now a 7-year-old 49er fan grandson. I studied under award-winning author Tony Ardizonne in the creative writing program at Old Dominion University (ODU) and graduated with a BA in English from Averett College (now University) and later an MA in Education and Library Media K-12 from ODU. Before teaching, a brief career as a journalist landed me many published articles and a regular column in the Danville-Virginian weekly newspaper. I am currently working on a YA historical novel. |
