Introduction I'm a freelance writer and my portfolio includes magazine articles, travel brochures, digital copy on websites, sales and promotional material and anything else you might care to imagine. When not in the office, I work as a poet on both commisioned and non-commisioned work. I have published on calendars, greetings cards, local newspapers, websites and am regularly seen performing in Covent Garden at The Poetry Cafe. I'm an avid reader when not writing and my interests include short stories, modernism, spirituality, philosophy, quantum physics, and alternative thought.
Interests Life. It is very interesting. Spirituality in all its various guises. I don't like the word religion, it seems archaic and set in stone and I don't believe in such nonsense as that. However I do believe that life is ultimately unfathomable, that we know less than we think we know, and that what we do know amounts to little. Knowledge interests me, don't get me wrong, but whether it has much value in itself is open to debate. Philosophies make for interesting journeys, like biographies. Critical theories of life and literature are similarly engaging. As is quantum physics, not that I know too much about it but it enthralls me nevertheless. People are interesting, artistic people are very interesting, scientists are exceedingly interesting, though i often don't understand a word they are saying. But I do know of a poet who is the son of Mr Kipling, he of cake fame. And I do like cake. Biscuits too. Then there is poetry, in all its beautiful forms, modern, archaic, romantic, free verse that isn't really free, poetry that struggles to identify itself as poetry. These are all good things. Modernist literature too, holds my attention, American or British. For me it is one of the most interesting areas of literary creation - all that alienation, subjective experience, temporal and spatial conundrums. Excellent stuff.

Well, maybe they don't need them, but don't you think that some fish might like a bicycle?
