Introduction	saol (pronounced "sail") is the Irish word for LIFE, the inspiration for all our designs. We're a mother-daughter duo living out our dream! I (Kim the daughter) stumbled upon Etsy while searching for ways to put my long-time hobby to use. Having learned to crochet at a young age from my mom (Pat), Etsy was perfect and such a great way to express my creative side! I humbly opened saol, a nod to my Irish heritage, and recruited my mom to join me. Since then, we have been having SO much fun making hats and accessories for people all over the nation and the world! Every sale is exciting knowing that someone has fallen in love with something you created! We also love using our skills to help others and have donated our hats to charities, as well as some of the profits. We hope that someday we will be able to do this full-time!
