| Introduction | The focus of Praveen’s early artistic explorations were portraits, capturing interesting human facial structures and expressions; Wilhelm Röntgen’s portrait was used for a stamp issued by the Govt. of India and a portrait of the old woman was celebrated at the Dubai Art Fesival. He has reflected on the human scale and its correlation with buildings and masterplanning of cities and these have been manifested in his practice as the defining tool of sculpting his designs. Praveen has been the subject of television programmes and provided commentary on urban design issues, including the recent stampede on the railway bridge in Mumbai. His real passion is the designing of cities that are easy to live, work, play and commute in. |
