| Introduction | Wicklow Writers new season for 2009/2010 has commenced. We will publicize upcoming events and activities on this site and at our meeting place, Kilmantin Arts. .We are a group of creative writers and poets who meet in Wicklow Town to share ideas and writing skills. Over the years we have taken part in the Wicklow Arts Festival, Wicklow WOW Weekend and have read at the Space Inside Arts Club. Each year we run a number of events such as readings, day trips for inspiration and the Wicklow Writers short story and poetry competition. .Since 2001, when the group was established, we have produced two anthologies, Humanity (2001) and Voyages (2005). In 2007 we launched our first spoken word CD, Voices from the Shore and, currently. Our 10th 'Anniversary' anthology was launched in 2011. . . . We meet every second Monday evening at 7.30pm in Kilmantin Arts Gallery, Wicklow Town. New members are always welcome. |
